How does the TUVPN.COM service work?
By connecting to our service, ALL Internet traffic you generate (browsing, file sharing, email, instant messaging, voip ...) is forwarded fully ENCRYPTED to the TUVPN node where you have chosen to connect, and your Internet access is processed from there. Shared and Dedicated IP Service Offerings TUVPN.COM offers both Shared IP and Dedicated IP VPN service solutions. The only difference between these two service solutions is that a Shared IP service gives you a public IP that is shared with many users, while with a Dedicated IP service you get a Public IP that is uniquely assigned to you. Learn more about the two here. Each option has its strong points depending on your specific needs. You can also read more on this topic in our blog post about shared/dedicated IPs.
For Example: If you choose to connect to our node in Zurich, the end result is as if you were physically in Zurich with your laptop and you surf, email, Skype etc from Switzerland.
The traffic you generate BETWEEN Switzerland and your home (or physical location of your PC) is protected by encryption and it is IMPOSSIBLE to reveal its contents.
Graphically:
What are the set of FEATURES that come with a TUVPN.COM account?
With your TUVPN account, you have access to all these features: â–º PPTP access with unlimited traffic (both Shared IP and Dedicated IP accounts). â–º OpenVPN access with unlimited traffic with remember-password option enabled (both Shared IP and Dedicated IP accounts). â–º Option to run OpenVPN over port 443/tcp for people behind very restrictive firewalls (both Shared IP and Dedicated IP accounts). â–º High Anonymity Web Proxy access on all our servers (with Shared IP accounts access to proxies on ALL servers, with Dedicated IP accounts access to the proxy on the VPN server you have subscribed). â–º Five incoming connection ports to your computer on selected servers (Dynamic RPF). Just relevant for Shared IP accounts, Dedicated IP accounts have ALL ports open to the assigned IP.
And our list continues to grow......... check back soon!
What are the differences between Shared IP and Dedicated IP VPN services ?
Here we will summarize the differences between our Shared and Dedicated IP VPN services: SHARED IP VPN SERVICE â–º You share ONE public IP with ALL the Shared service users of the VPN server to which you have connected. â–º You have access to ALL the servers on the TUVPN.COM network. â–º On selected servers, you get five ports for incoming connections to your computer (Dynamic RPF). Assigned ports will change for every new connection you make to the TUVPN.COM network. DEDICATED IP VPN SERVICE â–º You get ONE public IP assigned EXCLUSIVELY to you on the server you have chosen. This IP is NOT SHARED with any other user. â–º You can access JUST the server for which you have bought the Dedicated IP VPN service. â–º ALL ports are open to the Dedicated IP that you have been assigned. This means that you can run any service that you want on that IP. You can find further information about Shared vs Dedicated VPN services in our blog. Important note: For both Shared and Dedicated IP VPN services, the IP assigned to the VPN interface on your computer after connecting to TUVPN.COM will be a private IP. The transparent mapping between this private IP and the associated Public Shared IP or Public Dedicated IP will happen at the VPN server level.
How do I cancel my account? Do I have full control over this?
Cancelling your service is extremely easy. Just go to your Client Area, and select Cancel Service from the menu. Here is a direct link: https://www.tuvpn.com/cancel_service.php?ln=en Cancelling the service will ensure you no longer get any more renewal notices, and no further invoices will be generated for the service. Renewals will only happen automatically if you hold funds in your TUVPN.COM account. TUVPN.COM does NOT store any information regarding the payment methods used by our customers (card numbers, moneybookers accounts ...), nor process any periodic subscription through them. At the end of your service period, you will receive a new invoice for your renewal. You are free to pay, or not, using the payment method you prefer. Refunds for the service are only possible if you meet the conditions specified in our Terms of Use.
Can I use my TUVPN.COM account on more than one computer/device simultaneously?
With a single TUVPN ACCOUNT, you can connect SIMULTANEOUSLY to a SINGLE VPN NODE.
You can have a TUVPN.COM VPN configured / installed on every device you want, but with A SINGLE ACCOUNT only one of them may be connected to our network simultaneously.
If you want to have two or more devices connected at once, you can purchase additional accounts at TUVPN.COM.
Can I get a test account before buying the service?
For security reasons, we cannot offer trial accounts for our VPN Services. However, our money back guarantee lets you use your VPN for three days (within set usage limits) and if for some reason you are not satisfied, you can get your money back (check our Terms of Use). Otherwise, you can check for yourself the speed and reliability of our service using our High Anonymity Web Proxies for free. Although proxies don't offer the same level of security and anonymity as our VPN solution (check our blog post about it), you will be able to enjoy georestricted content and browsing anonymity and all of this with the extreme quality of TUVPN.COM services. Check detailed configuration and user instructions in our tutorials.
Why should you NOT abuse the network or breach TUVPN.COM's 'Terms of Use'?
The team at TUVPN.COM work extremely hard to provide its users with an industry leading VPN network service. We pride ourselves on; â–º the performance of the network â–º its flexibility â–º its features â–º the anonymity and privacy it provides â–º its ability to cater to ALL customer needs. However, the ability to maintain and grow our flexible high performance VPN network relies on our customers adhering to our Terms of Use. If activity on our network that breaches our Terms of Use is brought to our attention by a third party, we may be forced to make changes to the network that will impact everyone. This would be extremely unfortunate. Please HELP US TO HELP YOU through considerate and responsible use of the network.
Do I have to open any ports on my firewall/router, or do any other special configuations for my VPN service to work?
In general, NO special configuration should be necessary. For PPTP, your ISP needs to allow GRE packets on your network.
In most cases you will not experience any problems. If you should experience any problems, please contact us via the support tab in your Cient Area. We will fix the problem for you!
What are geographic restrictions and how can I avoid them ?
Certain websites and online services are accessible only from IPs associated with a given geographic area. With the TUVPN.COM service, you can work around these restrictions by connecting to a TUVPN node of a specifc geographic location. e.g by connecting to our node in the USA (chicago.tuvpn.com) you can see programs or obtain services normally only available to American IPs. By connecting to our UK server (london.tuvpn.com) you get access to programs and services for the UK etc etc. See our tutorials on changing server node.
Examples:
http://www.hulu.com only accessible from Americans IPs
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/ only accessible from English IPs.
Why would I be interested in protecting my communications with TUVPN.COM's service when using a wireless hotspot or WLAN?
You can find hotspots / WLAN's in many places e.g. airports, hotels, restaurants, bars and other public places. Obviously it is impossible to know and be able to have a guarantee on the safety level of each of these hotspots and the degree of competence of the people who administer them. With TUVPN.COM, from the moment you connect to the Internet via our VPN service from any hotspot, all your traffic passing through the hotspot is encrypted, so although the hotspot is involved, no one can find out anything about your traffic. You can enjoy completely secure Internet access from anywhere!
A hotspot that is hacked, can compromise ALL communications from all users linked to it e.g. links to online banking, mail services, theft of card numbers used for online shopping ...etc
For this reason, it is widely recommended to protect ourselves with the use of a VPN service, from any Internet access via a network on which we have no control and we are not completely convinced of its safety.
You will find even more detailed information on this topic on our blog
Why do I have to pay for my privacy? Can I use Tor Network since it is a free service....?
A perfectly valid option, but..... TOR Network Design: While offering excellent levels of privacy, its internet connection speed leaves much to be desired. In this regard, if one is seeking intensive protected Internet access when working with with high volumes of traffic, the use of TOR may provide a less than satisfactory experience. At the last BlackHat Europe technical security conference held in Amsterdam, one of the speakers, Moxie Marlinspike (Security Researcher), presented an excellent demonstration during which, using a TOR network node that he created and added to the network, gained access to, in a minimum time, a large number of passwords for all services of many of the users whose traffic TOR circulated by special TOR node. For more complete info on this topic: http://blog.phishme.com/2009/02/moxie-marlinspike-un-masks-tor-users.
TOR Network Security:
By contrast, TUVPN.COM's entire effort is focused on delivering maximum protection of our customer's traffic, and for this reason the security benefits of our technical architecture are numerous in comparison. We are a group of individuals with multi-disciplinary expertise in the IT field, but with a focus on safety. Our ongoing effort is to maintain security, performance and integrity of our network. At the same time, TUVPN.COM strives to provide this security service by minimising the cost passed on to our users of state of the art hosting and bandwidth. We think you will agree that we offer the most comprehensive service at the most competitive market prices.
Why is it important to choose a reliable VPN service provider?
Many VPN services are emerging with questionable integrety or ability to deliver the premium standard of service for which you are being asked to pay. An example is VPN4Life, which has been proven to be a scam to its hundreds of clients http://torrentfreak.com/anonymous-bittorrent-service-vpn4life-is-a-scam-090106/.
Are the servers of TUVPN.COM secure? Is there any possibility that they could get hacked and my traffic compromised?
In the world of computer security, there is a saying that "the only secure computer is one that is enclosed in a sealed room, protected by guards and cameras, no network connection and switched off ....."
Having said that , the VPN servers of TUVPN.COM have been configured according to the highest standards for security. By this we are specifically referring to:
â–º Firewall protection.
â–º Only essential services configured.
â–º Installing patches and updates as soon as they are available.
â–º Use exclusively dedicated to the VPN service.
â–º Installing intrusion detection software.
Even more important than this, is the continuing commitment to the security of our servers and therefore the data from our users. Continuous integration of daily controls and process improvements contributes to the provision of the TUVPN.COM service.
This leads us to be able to say, with a reasonable level of confidence, that the TUVPN.COM servers are extremely safe and therefore the security of your data is more than reasonably assured.
Is there any limit on the traffic I can generate using my VPN?
We do not impose any restriction on the traffic generated by a TUVPN.COM service user, subject to that use being classified as fair and reasonable.
For your peace of mind and information, we have not found any TUVPN.COM user to date that has made an unjust and unreasonable use of the service.
For more information, see our Terms & Conditions.
Does TUVPN.com keep a record of all activities of its customers in connection with its VPN services?
What are the available servers in the TUVPN network?
We currently have the following nodes/servers: â–º zurich.tuvpn.com (Switzerland) â–º bucharest.tuvpn.com (Romania) â–º chicago.tuvpn.com (USA) â–º london.tuvpn.com (UK) â–º 2 x amsterdam.tuvpn.com (The Netherlands) â–º madrid.tuvpn.com (Spain) â–º steinsel.tuvpn.com (Luxembourg) â–º kualalumpur.tuvpn.com (Malaysia) â–º vpn.tuvpn.com (random connection to any of our nodes) .png)
What is Dynamic RPF (Remote Port Forwarding) and why is it so relevant and useful?
Certain applications need to connect to a port on your computer to function properly. For example: However, a problem lies in the fact that when connected to any of our VPN servers, this server automatically becomes a firewall between you and the Internet. To resolve this issue, TUVPN.COM has enabled on selected servers, for both PPTP VPN and OpenVPN service, Dynamic Remote Port Forwarding. Simply, this means that every time you connect to one of the selected TUVPN.COM servers, this gives you certain ports that will be automatically redirected to your computer. Any Internet connection to one of these ports of the server will be immediately directed to your computer through the VPN. And which are those ports that have been allocated? Ports depend on the type of VPN (PPTP or OpenVPN) and the VPN IP assigned yo you by the server (that is why it is called dynamic). PPTP Ports 40000 + last octet IP 41000 + last octet IP 42000 + last octet IP 43000 + last octet IP 44000 + last octet IP OpenVPN Ports 45000 + last octet IP 46000 + last octet IP 47000 + last octet IP 48000 + last octet IP 49000 + last octet IP It is very easy, so DO NOT WORRY ! Let´s see an example : Example of PPTP Connection A TUVPN customer can check which IP has been assigned by doing the following; Open a Command Window (Start: Programs: Accessories: Command Prompt). And then the command: ipconfig / all: 40003, 41003, 42003, 43003, 44003 Example of OpenVPN Connection The customer check the IP as we´ve done with PPTP. So the assigned ports are : 45006, 46006, 47006, 48006, 49006
â–º P2P Clients ( Torrent, azureus, emule ...), to get High IDs, to avoid NAT Errors or Firewall Errors ... and get better download speeds.
â–º Skype, to receive calls and speed up transfers.
â–º IRC clients like mIRC.
â–º In order to remotely manage your computer through the VPN.
This can be very convenient because it gives you another layer of security and protection, but it can also prevent anyone from the Internet connecting to your computer, even with the legitimate purposes that we have listed above.
To find out, first you have to check up the VPN IP assigned to your computer when connected to TUVPN and then:
For example, as here, the customer may see an assigned VPN IP of 10.32.0.3 and the last number of the IP is 3. Therefore, the assigned ports, which the customer can use with any application are:
Here we will see that the VPN IP assigned to the TAP-Win32 adapter (which corresponds to OpenVPN) is10.61.0.6, and 6 is the last number of the IP.
What are the differences between PPTP and OpenVPN? Which one should I choose?
A Quick Summary: To protect communications from your PC or laptop, OpenVPN offers a much more robust encryption, works with most ISPs and has excellent stability. This is the obvious choice when seeking maximum security and privacy. We have a specific tutorial on the installation on OpenVPN software. It is very simple. PPTP is easier to install (no additional software is required and in a few clicks is ready) but is less secure (encryption weak) than OpenVPN. PPTP's other main advantage is that it more easily runs on mobile devices such as Iphone, Ipod Touch, Windows Mobile ...etc.
TUVPN.COM's High Anonymity Web Proxy. What is it, and how is it used?
TUVPN.COM offers on each of its servers a High Anonymity Web Proxy. A Web Proxy provides a way to quickly anonymize your internet browsing (HTTP/HTTPS). Check our blog article about the differences between Proxies and VPNs. Our proxies can be used as stand-alone proxies (to quickly anonymize browsing on any computer you are working with, and to avoid geographic restrictions...) or be combined with our VPN services to provide an additional layer of anonymity. Why High Anonymity ? We have configured all our proxies in Elite or High Anonymity mode. This offers the highest possible level of anonymization for your browsing needs. It removes every single bit of private information, not only your IP address and other fields that can identify you but it also changes the operating system and browser program that you are using with fake data! In fact it will be impossible for anyone checking your traffic to know that you are using a proxy at all. Let's see this with an example : We use a proxy checker site to perform a test of our browser without the TUVPN High Anonymity Web Proxy : We can see that it identifies our IP and also our Operating System and browser. Also that we are NOT using a proxy. Now let's fire up our High Anonymity Web Proxy and redo the test : And here we go ! As expected our IP has been replaced by the TUVPN server IP AND our operating system and browser have also been changed (TinyBrowser on a Linux box). Most importantly, we are not detected as using a proxy server ! To learn how to configure and use our High Anonymity Web Proxies please visit our tutorials section.
Can I use the High Anonymity Web Proxy service along with your VPN services to get even more anonymity on the Internet ?
Yes you can. You can configure your browser to use one of our High Anonymity Web Proxies while you are connected to one of our VPN Servers. What effect do you get by doing this? Basically, greater anonymity for your browsing (HTTP/HTTPS traffic). This is due to the fact that, from one side you get for ALL your Internet traffic the anonymity and privacy offered by our VPN services and from another side you add an additional anonymity layer for your browsing (HTTP/HTTPS) through the use of our High Anonymity web Proxies as we saw in a previous FAQ. To use our High Anonymity Web Proxies along with our VPN Services you just have to : â–º Connect to our VPN Service (either PPTP or OpenVPN). â–º Follow the High Anonymity Web Proxy tutorial that corresponds to the browser you are using. â–º IMPORTANT: The TUVPN.COM server that you choose as proxy server CAN'T BE THE SAME as the TUVPN server that you are connected to through the VPN. For example, you can connect through VPN to the london.tuvpn.com server and use as proxy the zurich.tuvpn.com server. This way your WEB traffic (HTTP/HTTPS) will go encrypted to London, there your IP will be anonimized and will continue travelling until Zurich where the IP will change again AND the tiniest residual private information will be removed or changed. Will you feel SAFE ENOUGH? :-)
What is the difference between an anonymous proxy and the TUVPN service?
Most proxies only protect a single protocol (in most cases, HTTP / HTTPS). That is, only protect the anonymity while browsing the Internet via browser. â–º Navigation (HTTP / HTTPS) â–º Mail (SMTP, IMAP) â–º Instant Messaging (MSN. ..) â–º VOIP (Skype. ..) â–º File Sharing (Bittorrent. ..)
In contrast, TUVPN.COM protects all types of communciation between the Internet and the user's computer, including but not limited to:
What is the encryption strength offered by TUVPN.COM VPN solutions ?
Currently, we offer the following VPN solutions and encryption levels : PPTP 128 bits using MPPE protocol (maximum security level achievable using PPTP) OpenVPN Control channel (Establishing and Keeping VPN tunnel) : 1024 bit RSA Data channel (sending/receiving encrypted data to/from the VPN server) : 128 bits using Blowfish cipher HMAC packet authentication using 160bit SHA1 More information about all of this in our blog.
I am behind a very restrictive firewall or ISP. Port 1194 UDP is firewalled and I can't access your service via OpenVPN or PPTP. What can I do ?
To allow people behind very restrictive firewalls or ISPs (i.e. just allowing http and https traffic) to enjoy our services, we have setup a separate OpenVPN instance on all our servers that is running over port 443 tcp (port assigned to https and generally allowed through all firewalls and ISPs). You can change the protocol and port that OpenVPN connects to using the same process that you use when changing OpenVPN server (check tutorials for your operating system) and modifying the following parameters : â–º In the line starting with proto, we change udp to tcp. â–º In the line where we specify to which server we connect, we change the port from 1194 to 443. A word of warning about this. OpenVPN is faster and more stable when running over udp. We are providing tcp option because we like to give the maximum number of choices to our users and because some users can't use TUVPN.COM services otherwise. That said, ALWAYS use our normal OpenVPN configuration (1194/udp) when possible. If you want to get more technical on possible issues with tcp, check this thread.
I get Error 619 when trying to connect through PPTP. What can I do ?
It is a PPTP client error, and means that you could not contact the server.
There are several possible causes. For a PPTP connection to work, TCP port 1723 must be open on all network devices between the client (you) and the VPN server. Let's examine the list of possible causes of the problem:
â–ºIf you do cut and paste the password, make sure you have not accidentally copied some white space at the beginning or end.
â–º If you have a personal firewall on your computer, make sure that TCP port 1723 is open. The default configuration of most personal firewalls block this port. You will have to enable it to allow its operation.
â–º If you have a router at home, it may need to be configured to support PPTP VPN. Check how to do it in the instructions. Ususally it will have the option in the Advanced section of web router administration.
â–º Your ISP can block PPTP connections ... In this case you can do little to solve this problem. Fortunately, with TUVPN.COM you have an option to access our VPN service via the OpenVPN method for the same price. OpenVPN, as it has been explained in this FAQ, is far more robust and works in many more configurations than PPTP. It is highly likely that you can use OpenVPN without any problems and enjoy your connection.
I have changed the VPN node to which I want to connect using OpenVPN. When I try to connect to the new server I get message 'AUTH_FAILED'. What is happening?
For technical reasons, an OpenVPN session does not expire on the authentication server until five minutes after the last contact with the customer. This does not apply to PPTP. You can connect and disconnect immediately.
For this reason, if a customer disconnects anf then tries to connect again within the 5 minute timeframe, you receive an AUTH_FAILED message because the server believes that you are connected and we have a simultaneous connection to TUVPN.COM.
In summary, ALWAYS WAIT FIVE MINUTES before reconnecting to the OpenVPN server after you have disconnected.
My OpenVPN session has been disconnected for some reason. When I try to reconnect, I get an AUTH_FAILED message. What is going on ?
How can I avoid having to enter my VPN username and password whenever connecting to my VPN with OpenVPN?
First, you must have installed the latest version of the OpenVPN client for Windows (openvpn-2.1_rc22-tuvpn.exe) to utilise the option of saving username and password for OpenVPN. This process cannot be applied for users of Mac or Linux systems. Once you have ensured that you have the latest OpenVPN client, open Notepad by running it as Administrator. You do this by right-clicking over notepad and clicking 'Run as administrator'. Then type in your VPN username and password in two separate lines (no line space between them!) : Then save the new text file in the Config subfolder of the OpenVPN program folder (by default, C: \ Program Files \ OpenVPN \ config). Use the file name 'pass.txt'. Finally we have to tell OpenVPN to read our username and password from this 'txt' file. To do this, edit the OpenVPN configuration in the same way we switch vpn node (see Tutorials) and add 'pass.txt' to the line 'auth_user_pass'. Just one space between this text and the newly added 'pass.txt'. Close the OpenVPN config notepad window and save you changes. You will no longer be asked for your username and password when connecting to your vpn! NB: Any person accessing your machine as a user with Administrator privileges can read this file and find your VPN username and password. We hope that you understand the risks involved and whether or not this is acceptable to you.

OpenVPN error when Windows is not installed on C drive. How can I fix ?
If you don't have Windows installed on C drive, you can get the following error when trying to use our OpenVPN client : Fri Apr 09 10:54:52 2010 C:\WINDOWS\system32 route.exe ADD 10.64.0.1 MASK 255.255.255.255 10.64.0.21 To fix this error add an extra line in your openvpn config file under "inactive 86400" and type the following (edit the configuration file the same way you change OpenVPN node to which to connect. Check tutorials) : win-sys env
Fri Apr 09 10:54:52 2010 openvpn_execve: CreateProcess C:\WINDOWS\system32 route.exe failed: The system cannot find the path specified. (errno=3)

How to block all outgoing Internet traffic when my VPN connection goes down ? (unmaintained firewall software)
IMPORTANT: Sygate firewall has only been tested on Windows XP though it should work with all 32 bits Windows OS. You will first need install the Sygate Firewall, you can get a free version of personal firewall from this link 1. Install with the typical setting installation, on completion restart your computer. 2. Go to start menu -> programs -> sygate firewal -> sygate personal firewall 3. Once you're on console click on Tools from top menu and click on Advanced rule, click OK on prompt warning message. 4. Now here you will have to specify few rules which are as follows: 4.1 Firstly you will need to block all the traffic which is going through your main connection (ISP or your wireless router connection) To do this , • click on add again, Open Pots FOR PPTP: If you're using PPTP you will have to setup 2 rules one for PPTP port 1723 and second for GRE port 47 since PPTP use GRE for IP encapsulation. 4.3 3rd and final rule is to allow all traffic which is going through VPN. To do this, • click add, in description put 'allow VPN traffic' After this, just VPN traffic should be able to leave your computer !
• click on add --> In rule description specify Block All Traffic
• select action 'block this traffic' which should be selected as default
• select your main connection interface card if your using wireless than select wireless adaptor or incase of LAN select LAN from drop down menu
• Click OK
4.2. 2nd rule, since you already block all the traffic you won't be able to connect the VPN without opening VPN ports. So you need to first open VPN ports on it.
Open Ports for OPENVPN: If you're using OpenVPN, than you will need to add 1194 UDP port to allow VPN to connect with VPN servers, to do this,
• rule description specify allow OpenVPN port
• select option to 'allow this traffic'
• now click on Ports & protocol tab --> select protocol as UDP --> and specify port 1194 in remote port option
• add new rule, description as allow PPTP,
• select action to 'allow this traffic' ,
• go to Ports & protocol tab select Protocol type TCP and sepcify 1723 in remote port leaving all other options to default,
• click ok
• add another rule same as above for GRE, the only option you need to change here is the protocol type which is IP type and select GRE(47) from another drop down menu, rest is same
• select action 'allow this traffic'
• select netwrok interface card if you're using PPTP than select TUVPN interface adaptor or incase of OpenVPN, select TAP-32 adapter.
• click ok and exit yourself from advanced rules settings.
How to block outgoing Internet traffic (just chosen applications) when my VPN connection goes down ?
NOTE: This FAQ has been prepared to instruct you on how to make sure that traffic from specific applications doesn't leave your computer if the VPN connection goes down. We have a previous FAQ where we show how to block all outgoing traffic in case the VPN goes down. That FAQ is based on Sysgate firewall that is unmaintained. So, we have put up this new FAQ where we use an up-to-date firewall (Comodo) but with the limitation of just being able to block certain defined applications. INSTALLATION Adding rules to allow TUVPN connection and block certain applications
Install the Comodo Firewall software. You can access the download from this link,
http://personalfirewall.comodo.com/free-download.html
Adding TUVPN IPs as a 'Zone'
1. Go to the firewall tab --> "Advanced" --> "Network Security Policy"
2. Change the tab to "My Network Zones"
3. Click on "Add" --> "A New Network Zone" --> Name it as "TUVPN"
4. Right click on the newly created zone "TUVPN" --> select "Add"
5. Select Option "An IP address Mask" --> specify "10.0.0.0" / "255.0.0.0"
6. Click Apply --> Click Ok
.png)

.png)
1. Go to the firewall tab --> "Advanced" --> "Network Security Policy"
2. Click "Add" under "Application Rules tab",
3. Browse an "Application" of which you want to restrict access over TUVPN only
4. Select "Use a custom Policy"
5. Click "Add"
(Here we have to define 3 rules. The order of the rules are important, so make sure to define the rules in following order)
6. Rules
6.1. 1st rule --> Select, Action: Allow , Protocol: IP , Direction: In
Source Address tab--> select "Any"
Destination Address tab--> select Zone-->select “TUVPN” from drop down
Click Apply
6.2. 2nd rule --> Select, Action: Allow , Protocol: IP , Direction: In,
Source Address tab --> select Zone -->select “TUVPN” from drop down
Destination Address tab--> select "Any"
Click Apply
6.3. 3rd Rule --> Select, Action: Block , Protocol: IP, Direction: In/Out
Click Apply

Note: These are basic rules to allow certain applications access over VPN connection. You can tighten up the settings and limit those rules to specific ports/protocols by changing Protocol.
You will have to define the above three rules for every Application you want to run over the TUVPN connection.
Can I change the period of my VPN subscription? e.g from monthly to semi-annually?
It can be done without a problem. IMPORTANT: You can change your subscription type only BEFORE THE RENEWAL INVOICE IS CREATED FOR YOUR SERVICE (this happens three days before service expiration). If the invoice has been created and you want to change your service type, please, contact support and they will cancel the created invoice and you will be able to buy a new service of the desired length.
Access your client area, choose Modify Services. There you can choose your new subscription period.
This new subscription period will be activated and you will be billed at the time of the end of your current subscription period. For example, if you have a monthly subscription that expires in 10 days and choose to change to a semi-annual subscription period, your current subscription will last for another 10 days and then at the start of the next month you will be billed for a 6 month subscription period.

What does the option 'Add Funds' mean in my Client Area? Why is it useful to add funds to my TUVPN.COM account?
The option, 'Add Funds' enables you to maintain a balance in your TUVPN.COM account from which your subscription renewal fees for your vpn services will be automatically deducted. In this way, you avoid the inconvenience of manual renewals at the end of your subscription period, and you avoid the risk of down-time in your service before you manually process a renewal.
When paying with Ukash, what number format do I have to use when entering a number in the parameter "Card Value"?
To avoid problems when paying for your VPN service using UKash, you have to use the following format whenever you have to enter the parameter 'Card Value': XX.XX
For example; If you have a UKash Card valued €20, the card value entered would be: 20.00 Your Card Value can be in ANY currency. UKash will convert the invoice amount to the currency of the voucher and substract that amount from it.
When I try to pay using 2Checkout, I get an error message "Authorisation failed. The authentication of the cardholder has failed. Go back and correct your data or choose another payment method". What should I do?
