Firstly, please forgive the Spanish images (we grew up being just Spanish!). We will be replacing these with English very soon. In the mean time we hope that the steps we take you through are clear enough for you to follow.

Tunnelblick is a ready-to-use graphical OpenVPN client for Mac OS X.

Install Tunnelblick

We drag&dropTunnelblick into your Applications folder.

Install Tunnelblick

Run Tunnelblick

Within the Applications folder, Run the Tunnelblick client.

Open Tunnelblick

A security window will pop-up asking if you are sure you want to open the Tunnelblick client. Click, Open.

MAC Username & Password.

Here you will be asked to input your MAC username and password (NOT your TUVPN username and password!) Click, OK.

Delete Config File

Delete the Configuration file called openvpn.conf from the openvpn folder found at Library -> openvpn

No Configuration File

When asked if you want to install a configuration file, press EXIT.

Close Window.

You will see a window with a configuration file. Close this window.

Close Window.

Download TUVPN Configuration

We now download the zip file containing the OpenVPN configuration files of TUVPN.COM:

Move TUVPN Setting Files.

Important Note For Dedicated IP VPN Service Users: Before importing openvpn.conf file, Dedicated users MUST enter the VPN Server for which they have subscribed. This is done by simply editing the openvpn.conf file and replacing the line vpn.tuvpn.com with the VPN server you have susbscribed to.

We now move the OpenVPN configuration files that we just downloaded to the openvpn folder found at Library/openvpn.

Move TUVPN Setting Files.

Connect To Your TUVPN.COM Service.

Open the Tunnelblick menu via the icon at the top right-hand corner of your screen, and click on Connect 'openvpn'.

Connect To Your TUVPN.COM Service.

VPN Username & Password.

Here you enter the VPN username and password that was sent to you in an email from TUVPN.COM called, "TUVPN.COM Service Activation". Then click, OK.

Confirm You Are Connected.

If you wish to confirm that you really are now enjoying new freedoms, security and anonymity on the Internet, go to an IP identification site (e.g. www.whatismyipaddress.com ) where you can see that your IP is now a TUVPN server node in an entirely new location....and probably a new country!
