Control channel (Establishing and Keeping VPN tunnel) :

1024 bit RSA.

Data channel (sending/receiving encrypted data to/from the VPN server) :

256 bits using AES cipher.

HMAC packet authentication using 160bit SHA1.

SSH2 Tunnels

256 bits using AES cipher.



L2TP/IPSec

128 bits using AES cipher.

PPTP

128 bits using MPPE protocol (maximum security level achievable using PPTP)
